Ebenezer Baptist Church News
All the deeds from the previous landowners have been secured. We have been blessed by a generous gift of over 50
family members from all over the country who have donated their portions of the property. We are now the "owners" of
61.9 acres of land across from the church. PRAISE GOD! We want to give thanks to Mr. Ed Johnston for his volunteer
attorney work over the past three years.

If you want to learn more about the construction of our new church, the links below will take you to different pages with
information you need to know to keep you informed and up to date of how God is at work.
Ebenezer Baptist church is considering affiliation
with the Scioto Valley Association and the Southern
Baptist Convention. This process will take several
months as we examine a potential partnership.
Information about the Southern Baptist Convention is
available in the church vestibule. You can learn more
about  the Scioto Valley Association at
www.svbaohio.org:8000 and Southern Baptists at
www.sbc.net.
Update: We are currently under a watch care
membership with the Scioto Valley Baptist
Association until the church makes minor
constitutional and structural changes.

Vacation Bible School 2008
Vacation Bible School a big hit with kids of all ages.
The theme this year was
God's Big Backyard. The
fun began with a kick-off Sunday, June 22. Then
each evening through June 27 kids were treated to
skits, heard Bible stories and learned Bible verses.
They also made crafts, played games and enjoyed
an inflatable bounce house.
Thursday evening Pastor Steve presented the
gospel to the children in grades one through six.
Eight children prayed to receive Jesus as their
Savior.
The closing ceremony was held Friday evening,
June 27 after Vacation Bible School activities.
Senior Adult Banquet
Continuing a tradition that began over 40 years ago, senior adults gathered together on Saturday, November 1 for
the annual Senior Adult Banquet. 57 Seniors attended this year.
They enjoyed a meal and a special message by Rev. Larry Ryals. Seniors were also honored during the morning
worship service on Sunday, November 2.
                              Operation Christmas Child
During the month of October and early November, our church participated in
Operation Christmas Child. This ministry provides gifts, personal care items and the
gospel message to children in need. The goal for our church was to collect 130
boxes. Members of our church family responded to this ministry by bringing in 140
boxes. These boxes will now be delivered to children all over the world.
