Prayer and Praise
Praise God for those who have come before us here at Ebenezer. Pray that we will continue the legacy to the
Glory of God.
Praise God for those who are already giving sacrificially. Continue praying what God would have you
sacrifice for our Capital Stewardship Campaign.
Praise God for the Builders for Christ teams. Pray for the safety of the team leaders as they travel for the
Spring meeting.
Pray that God will provide every dollar needed for construction of our new facility.
Pray for our Building Committee, give them continued wisdom.
Pray for the Logistics Team as preparation continues for the arrival of the volunteers.
Pray that God will send an abundance of volunteers and that they will be able to bring the project to completion.
Pray for direction and focus as we continue with the tremendous opportunity God has given us.
Praise God for the unity of the church in the decision to move forward with the building project.

| 3 Year Sacrificial Stewardship Campaign |
EVERYONE HAS GIVING POTENTIAL
Throughout our lives, we regularly sacrifice for things we think are important, such as education, a home, a business or
our future needs. Why not give sacrificially when we have an opportunity to strengthen the work of the church and extend
the Kingdom of God? We encourage each family to pray about making a truly sacrificial commitment.
The story of the Widow's Mite in Luke 21 shows that everyone has potential. It is not about equal giving. It is
about equal sacrifice.

Someone has said, there are three kinds of givers...the flint, the sponge
and the honeycomb. To get anything out of the flint you must hammer it. And
then you only get chips and sparks. To get wate rout of a sponge, you must
squeeze it, and the more you use pressure, the more you will get. But the
honeycomb just overflows with its own sweetness. Which kind of giver of you?
I want to encourage you as scripture says: Every man according as he
purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly, or of neccessity: for
God loveth a cheerful giver (II Corinthians 9:8).

Faithful stewardship is needed not just during our building campaign but regularly, in order that we can
meet the needs of the ongoing ministries of the church. One of the great dangers of an extended building
campaign is that some would "rob Peter to pay Paul". In other words, I will give to the building project instead
of my regular giving. What we must realize is that our giving must be first regular to meet budget needs and
then sacrificial to meet the building needs.
