Are You Broken Hearted Over The Condition Of Our Nation?
Or Are You Just Apathetic?
“While sin is a very real personal problem, it is not exclusively individuals who fall short of the mark
God sets for them. Whole churches sin grievously as do all other religious entities, including mission
boards, evangelistic agencies and entire denominations. Even nations can be guilty of sin as
nations. A generation that does not know how to put away corporate sin is a generation in trouble
with itself and God.”
It is time to plead, confess and pray on behalf of our church, our community, our state and our
nation.
1. Forgive our lack of prayer as a corporate people and nation.
2. Forgive our unwillingness to stand up for righteousness.
3. Forgive our genuine lack of genuine concern for others as opposed to our desire for the
latest gossip.
4. Forgive our killing of the unborn, reverse our ungodly laws.
5. Forgive our nations month long celebration of homosexuality.
6. Forgive our “who cares” attitude towards fornication, adultery and pornography.
7. Forgive our nations love affair with alcoholic beverages.
8. Forgive us for our selfishness in divorce and the disorder of the family unit.
9. Forgive us for our greed and lust for money and material things.
10. Forgive us for making a mockery of your Holy name.
11. Forgive us for allowing gambling to infiltrate our cities.
12. Forgive us for allowing drugs to destroy so many lives.
13. Forgive us for electing ungodly men and women to leadership.
14. Forgive us for allowing the Bible and prayer to be removed from our school houses.
15. Forgive us for promoting promiscuity, ungodly language, vile disrespect of God and
every form of unrighteousness imaginable, through our consumption of TV, Movies, Music
and print media.
16. Forgive us for misuse, neglect and shame of your Holy Word the Bible.
17. Forgive us for allowing men to default on their role as spiritual leaders.
18. Forgive us for sacrificing our children to the god of sports, TV, internet….
19. Forgive us for our poor stewardship of time, natural resources, money and people. We
have squandered them all!
20. Forgive us for being so ignorant of your Word the Bible.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal
their land.
Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. II
Chronicles 7:14-15
