ABOUT US

The purpose of Ebenezer Baptist Church is to worship God in all things by:
proclaiming Christ, baptizing new believers, and discipling all to serve in the ministry.

THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible authoritative Word of God. It has supreme authority in all
matters of faith and conduct.

GOD
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that He
is the Creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power, and rejoice that He
concerns Himself in the affairs of men, both hearing and answering prayers.

JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His
miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the Father, in His
high-priestly intercession for His people, and in His personal, visible, ever-imminent return for His people, with power
and glory.

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit of God, Who convicts the world of sin, regenerates the unbeliever in salvation, sanctifies
and comforts the Children of God in Christ and by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

To Exalt
The name of Jesus Christ through individual and corporate worship.

To Equip
The saints for the works of ministry through instruction so the body may grow in the knowledge of the Son of God, to
become mature disciples and to fulfill the measure of the stature, which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

To Edify
One another through fellowship by encouraging one another and building up the body into a unity of faith.

To Evangelize
Our community, state, country and world through evangelism which proclaims the Word of God and calls people
everywhere to respond to Jesus Christ through faith.

To Enable
The body to fulfill this ministry purpose, through service and the use of wise stewardship that enhance and protect the
numerous resources that God has so faithfully entrusted to this body of believers.

To glorify God by helping believers love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul and might.

Bringing them to maturity and unity.

That they may believe God sent His Son, Jesus Christ.

Grow a Biblically sound, culturally relevant, loving body of believers who will have a passion to fulfill their ministry and mission to
reach 97,000 people (within a fifteen mile radius of our church), the surrounding counties, our state, nation and world with the
gospel of Jesus Christ.
